Furniture manufacturing in the UK is long standing and has changed and adapted over the years to trends and society needs.
Barton Products has been trading in various formats for many years, and throughout the changes we have maintained our consistent belief of manufacturing quality British furniture. From cabinet manufacturing to upholstering sofas and chairs, we have continued to supply the market place for nearly a century. We are based in the East Midlands in one of the strongest areas of furniture manufacturing. Long Eaton is well known for its strong talent as Manufacturers of chair and contract seating UK and as a result there is a good skills base in this area.
Buying British manufactured furniture ensures that we maintain quality skills in this country, which can be nurtured and developed, and handed down to the next generation. Barton Products supports apprenticeships and encourages school and university placements to ensure the young people in the surrounding area are given the chance to develop skills and technologies in wood and laminates, pre-formed plywood components and timber furniture components.
By buying British timber furniture components not only are you supporting a long standing tradition of suppliers but also reducing the carbon emissions on transportation. We at Barton Products support PEFC timbers and where possible ensure all our timber furniture components, veneers, pre-formed plywood components and board material are obtained from renewable sources.
Barton Products currently has the facilities to manufacture a wide range of show wood chairs and sofas, wooden tables and chairs, tub chairs, church chairs, healthcare care and educational furniture, as well as chairs suitable for student accommodation and schools. We are also able to manufacture tables, coffee, lamp and dining height with various types of tops, solid, veneer faced mdf or laminated tough tops.
We welcome visitors to our factory, and we are proud to show people around our wood mill, laminate press shop and upholstery unit. If you visit you will be given a warm welcome and will be able to see chair and sofa frames be assembled and polished. This gives our customers the opportunity to discuss their ideas and designs with our management team and machinists, working together to ensure the product is made to the high standards we offer.
